Prop firms
What is Profit target?
By the verify.trading team · Last reviewed · How we write
A profit target is the gain a trader must reach in a prop firm evaluation to pass, usually a percentage of the starting balance.
Key points
- Usually a percentage of the starting balance.
- Often different per phase.
- Must be met without breaching other rules.
Profit target explained
Targets often differ by phase. Reaching the target is normally not enough on its own: the daily loss, drawdown and minimum trading day rules must also be respected.
